ADHD and fear of failure?
For students who are diagnosed with ADHD, a slightly different approach is desirable compared to regular students. They will learn to drive like all other starting drivers, but the road to obtaining a driver's license is often a little bit different.
Our instructors have extensive experience and have also followed various specialized training courses and seminares to provide everyone with the right tools and guidance.
We provide the necessary, clear instruction in the car, the guidance with the CBR, the driving test and the adapted exam. But also the tips and tricks to independently participate in traffic and to estimate all incentives at the right value.
For both groups, a personal approach often makes the difference and ensures a positive end result. We already create the distinction in the car, the right approach, focus on personal progress and language appropriate to each individual's need.
Fear of failure? A good solution for this group of students is the fear of failure or adapted exam which the CBR offers. This is a regular exam, but then by an examiner who is extra trained in this. Someone who can empathize with the situation and adjust the instruction accordingly. In addition, there is the option to take a time out during the exam itself. With us it appears that this time out is often not necessary.
Fear of failure can be both positive and negative. Where one student finds himself in the (positive) hyper focus, the vast majority of students with fear of failure will see obstacles and challenges on the road.
